DS Global’s primary vessel, Huan Qiu 1200 (previously known as Global 1200), is capable of operating at a depth of up to 3,000 meters and has a lifting capacity of 1,200 tons. This allows it to efficiently carry out ultra-deep water submarine pipeline installations and deep-water construction projects.

In addition to Huan Qiu 1200, the company’s assets also include a “Multi-purpose marine craft (500 POB)” and a “Large variable load wind power platform (7000T)”. These assets are further enhanced by resources from their partner companies – “Desheng 1700” and “Yuhang 3000” large cranes. This collective capability allows them to undertake oil and gas field cable laying at water depths ranging from 2.4 meters to 1600 meters, installation wind farms with turbine capacities exceeding 10 MW, execute subsea deep-water engineering installations, and carry out conventional oil and gas fields, as well as wind farm projects across China and globally.

HuanQiu 1200

DS Global flagship vessel, Huan Qiu 1200 (previously known as Global 1200), is capable of operating at a depth of up to 3,000 meters and has a lifting capacity of 1,200 tons. This allows it to efficiently carry out ultra-deep water submarine pipeline installations and deep-water construction projects.

DeSheng 1700

The DeSheng 1700 is a fully slewing floating crane with a fixed maximum lifting capacity of 1200t and a full slewing maximum lifting capacity of
1200t, and can accommodate 52 people.

The De Sheng 287 is a versatile self-elevating unit designed for offshore support, hoisting, and installation of wind turbine components

S-Lay Pipe Recovery Operations Project (Mermaid Subsea Services Thailand)

Scope of work: Decommissioning job in the waters of Gulf of Thailand; The first 6″ TAPLC 1 pipeline removal was completed on 05:29 lt, 8 April 2024 – Total length 4896 m (Dry), 196/24 m, 392/12.2 m joints. The operations are supported by Diving Support Vessel Van Gogh.

Chris Sun

Director

Chris Sun is the current Director at DS Global Singapore. He is a seasoned professional with 18 years of EPCI Project Management and engineering expertise in the oil and gas sector, encompassing offshore installation, construction, and quality control. As a Senior Project Engineer, Installation Manager, and Brownfield Modification and Logistics Manager, he contributed significantly to offshore oil EPCI projects. With 5 years of overseas experience, Chris has excelled in construction and installation design, overseeing coordination, execution, and marine warranty approval for both onshore and offshore projects.

In addition to his technical prowess, Chris possesses a wealth of marketing and sales experience in the oil & gas field, focusing on Offshore Engineering and Third-Party Consultation Business. His strong client relationships with industry giants such as CNOOC, CHEVRON, PTTEP, and Anadarko attest to his effective selling and management skills. Notably, Chris’s career includes key roles at China Offshore Oil Engineering Company, Global Maritime, and Hengtai Global Offshore Engineering, where he served as Deputy General Manager, contributing significantly to the success of projects like ZAWTIKA Phase 1B EPCIC.

Donald Ow

General Manager

As the General Manager of DS Global Singapore, Donald brings over two decades of experience in the maritime and offshore industry. Beginning his career in heavy lift projects in 2002, he has since specialized in marketing offshore assets across global markets. With strong expertise in business development, vessel sales and purchase, and project acquisitions in Africa and the Middle East, Donald is recognized as a trusted industry leader.
